“Vulnerability is having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome".
Brene Brown.
My belief is that by understanding ourselves better we can make choices that light us up and allow us to live more in ease and less in resistance.
As I mention to my clients, houses are better built in the sunshine than in the rain; while my therapy services are built to support you through rainier days, the true essence of therapy is received through a combination of both sunny and rainy days; Demonstrating a true investment in self.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change".
Carl Rogers
My Approach
I believe fundamentally, we have the ability to find the answers within ourselves yet often, in our busy lives or when experiencing pain or challenge, these answers can be difficult, at times for some, even impossible, to access. Using a person-centred approach, my therapeutic style is curious, friendly, warm and engaging and my intention is to provide you with a sense of safety and connection to allow you to get to yourself better.
I encompass several evidence-based therapy models and interventions, including PCT, Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Techniques.
My therapeutic framework incorporates mindfulness, acceptance, self-awareness, and values-driven philosophies. I also value the use of tool-based styles of therapy allowing therapy sessions to be interactive and experiential where appropriate.
Overall I offer a holistic approach to therapy, integrating the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual connection. With training in yoga & meditation and Samvahan's energetic offerings, I work intuitively with clients and also offer nervous system regulation techniques in my treatment.
